EDUCATION

EDUCATION IS THE MOST PROMISING WAY OUT OF POVERTY AND SHOULD BE READILY AVAILABLE TO EVERY CHILD.

ANF’s education programs aim to improve school retention rates, increase school attendance, enhance educational quality, and reduce hunger by implementing school meal programs, training teachers, building schools, and improving school-level infrastructure.

ANGELS OF HOPE

The Angels of Hope program benefits 18 foster homes located in Managua, Masaya, Carazo, Rivas, León, Chinandega and Estelí. The program looks after the well-being of approximately 400 children and teenagers; most of these children were totally or partially abandoned, lived in extreme poverty or in situations of risk.

DAILY MEALS PROGRAM

Our school meal programs provide pre-school and elementary students with a nutrient-rich, vitamin fortified meal, to improve their health and learning capacity. The guarantee of a free daily meal acts as an incentive for parents to send their children to school.

CLASSROOM REHABILITATION & PROVISIONING

As a means to motivate and encourage learning, we provide classroom furniture, school supplies, and improve school-level infrastructure to facilitate the teaching-learning process at under-served primary schools.
